Where Does Your Donation Go? – Lymphoma and Leukemia Society Visit

After receiving $20,050 in donations from 100 Women Who Care Halifax, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) – Atlantic Region shared what they have done with the funds to better support blood cancer patients and their families.
Joe DiPenta, National & Regional Director of the LLSC and Stanley Cup Champion 2007 will hosted a reception for patients, caregivers, doctors and nurses to unveil the Empower Pack: a new initiative supported by the $20,050 donation that will deliver care packages to blood cancer patients who have been recently diagnosed or who are currently in treatment. The Empower Pack aims to provide patients with emotional and financial support and the knowledge on how to better navigate the healthcare system. Media are welcome to attend and take visuals.
